WHO WE ARE
PurelyCOE – Climate, Oceans, Energy is an NGO Network working to ensure a sustainable, clean and better planet for future generations through changes in Small Island Developing States (SIDS). We empower communities by providing the tools they need to transform and preserve our planet. Our 3 major focus areas for more sustainable islands are Climate Change Resilience and Adaption, Oceans Protection, and Renewable Energy. We do this through information sharing, training, research, education, innovation, and interventions.
WHAT WE DO
We promote responsible citizenship.
At PurelyCOE we go beyond citizen awareness and information sharing, our goal is to provide a clear vision on the multiple benefits of sustainable development for all but in particular to youth. We will do this through teaching, showcasing national responsibility, encouraging volunteerism and community engagement.
Working with the youths in particular, we will provide the tools they need to transform and preserve our planet. We are dedicated to change and making a positive impact. Teaching youths in our communities’ responsibility through volunteerism which then allows them the dignity and awareness to play a positive role in shaping the communities in which they live. Purely COE creates opportunities for the advancement of island youth in vulnerable and marginalized communities by connecting them to positive and inspiring mentors. We also provide communications training, so that they can utilize their voice in very powerful ways to promote sustainable living on islands.
We train future leaders, change-makers, and trailblazers. We do this through direct impact workshops, training summits, leadership building activities. We provide resources to schools so that young people can take an active role in their communities through our "Team up COE" campaign.
